four automobiles that WILLIAMS had access to during the almost
two year period in which the killings were being

SA ara has essentially finished the microscopical
examinations of the textile fiber evidence from the ten cases he
selected to examine and is presently preparing Laboratory reports on
the results. After these reports on the microscopical
associations have been completed, additional Laboratory work
will be necessary to fully characterize many of the important
fibers.
The trial of WILLIAMS was originally set for October 5,
1981. Because of the necessity of furnishing final Laboratory
reports in the Cater and Payne cases to the defense attorneys
ten days prior to the trial date, SA 2: concentrated
