The mass media has spread my name = = = —— on the newspapers, they have spread my name over the TV, and as a result 1 went to @ prospective job and after they verified . who I was they told me they were not hiring any more. The same thing has been happening. I've tried to find another place to live. When they find out who I am, I am told that they do net have any vacancies. And sometimes I'm standing right across the street from where I know they have vacancies. 7 oF. "Se, as a result of my association with the Farty, I think that I have been blacklisted in this «ity. My Constituticnal rights, my human rights have been violated because of my political awareness, because of what I have learned from my association, because I have letrned about the circumstances that we as a people are being subjected to. Recause I have applied myself and bec ause I have tried to help my awn neenla ana triad tA seen my own pecple and tried to ass i: my own nennl a T am wwe PP ee being persecuted. “When I went to court to fight this eviction before they tole me that the North Carolina law does net, they do not have to give me, they were justified in not giving me a reason for my eviction. “Fe's hard te fight. It's hard te prove that a person is being persecuted because of political beliefs They trump up all sarts of charges and you know, have you looking like you, you know, you are a criminal, you know. And, you know, Like I say, it hss to step somewhere. And I feel that the time is now. We neod unity. We all need to stand together. As long as they can keep us fighting among ourselves, they will do it. As long as they can tell me that somebody else is guilty, they will da it But. they will not show vou who's really quilty. will do it. not show yo eally guilty They'll keep you fighting among yourselves to keep you from really looking at who's the guilty person.
