HAROLD ADRIAN RUSSELL PHILBY The "San Francisco Examiner" in its January 20, 1965, edition contained the following article under the caption "Vanished Wife Now in Moscow”, datelined AP Moscow: "MOSCOW - (AP) - Mre., Eleanor Philby, American wife of British defector Harold A. R. (Kim) Philby, has returned to Moscow, it was learned yesterday. "Mra. Philby, who vanished in the United States in July, reportedly returned via Mexico and Cuba. Friends reported that she is bitterly disappointed because she had to return without her daughter by a previous marriage."
