Murillo said the committee was divided into three groups on arrivel and spent the day questioning the farm workers involved including sheriff deputies who made the arrests. He said a formal statemont will be issued as _$09n as ail the information fs compiled and is carefully Studied. He said it probably will take two days before all information is put together. Some 19 adults snd eight juveniles conducting a peaceful demonstration, were arrested on alleged charges of trosparsicg last Th Reeves County deputy sheriffs. ¥10ia tions In an earlier statement, Murillo charged LULAC based on the events that took place “must condemn the outright violation of civil rights and the inhuman and unlawful acts of the Sheriff of Reeves County." LULACS have gone on record supporting legislation allowing the usionization of farm workers. 3
