PECOS (Staff) — United
Farm Workers union members
and sympathizers were back in
the Balmorhea-Saragoza area
today for the second day in an
attempt to organize melon
pickets on farms in the area.
Rosalie Saragoza, a volunteer
for the union said there were 30-
o perscs in Wie alee. Arnong
them was organizer Tony
Orendain, she said.
Miss Saragoza said two bomb
threats had been received at the
UFW office here “and it is of
great concern to us. They
threatened to blow us to bits.”
“T have two small children
with me. One of the organizers
here received the threat," she
said. She said she did not talk to
the caller,
She said the roadway where
the picketing members were ;
Monday was flooded in an effort
to evict them from the area.
She said she did not know the
