Through a highly conNidential source, it was determined ’ on December 19, 194], that Barbara Brigham was in contact with Heil Horesini, of the New York Law rirm Cohalan and Jorosini. hkiorosini indicated that ne was horrified to learn o2 the arrest of laura Ingalls as a non-registered agent. He asked Barbara Brigham whether the friends of the America First Cormittee in New York could raise the $7500 bond necessary for her release, since she had indicated to the United States Commissioner that she was without funds. korosini also indicated that Inzalls tay have been "up to something," to which Barbara Brigham asreed that it was possible,- but aaued that she worxed along with the America First Committee all the time. Morosini indicated the belief that her arrest crew out of her activities with the America First Committee, and he observed that this was prebably in line with the indictments on which his 7irm is now working; narely, hysterical and not necessari i siorosini is representing George es recently indicted uncer tne ens of the Heristration Act. To the above statenvents Barbar. S chan expressed the opinion that Ingallst arrest was 2 slag at tne America First Committe and that her record would not indicate any criminal oropensi ties. She aaded that she had made several trips with kiss Ingalls, and advicvted thet she, Barbara Brigham, had lived several years in Germany.
