memorandum 4-15-69 which advised that a
oy ame check had been received from the Federal Home Loan Bank Board
whe (FHLB) on the captioned individual and that files were being
eviewed for pertinent information for dissemination.
We have not investigated Rebozo; however, files do
reveal: background information concerning him and his association
with the President. In late 1954, we learned that then
Vice President Nixon vacationed at the home of Rebozo in
Key Biscayne, Florida. At that time, it was reported that Rebozo,

which he Bad sold, and was then operating a sual] loan business
n the Miami area. He reportedly had a good reputation, was ae
generally well liked, and was reported to be reliable and efficient,"
We also learned that he had entered into a real estate deal _

eNews items subsequent to that time have indicated a
Sat imind association between President Nixon and Rebozo, and the
residence which the President recently purchased in Key Biscayne
is next door to Rebozo's home.
A Washington Capital News Service release, 3-13-69,
indicated that Rebozo had become the target of an investigation by
the House Banking and Currency Committee (HBCC), headed by Wright
Patman, Democrat of Texas, who wanted to know why Rebozo, a real
estate developer worth more than $5,000,000, could obtain loans
.{£xom the Small Business Administration (SBA). The article indi-
