PRESS RELEASE
&
J. E. MILNES, Special Agent in Charge, FBI, poBs
Seattle, announced today that the FBI was concentrating its
search for the missing hijacker of Northwest Airlines
Flight 305 in the vicinity of southwestern Washington in an
area generally near Aeriel, Merwin, Amboy and Crawford,
Washington. Mr. MILNES said the hijacker was described as
white, male, American, olive complexion, Latin appearance,
black hair, normal hair style parted on left, age middle
forties, six feet tall, 170 to 175 pounds, average build,
brown eyes. He was wearing a black suit, white shirt,
narrow black tie, black rain-type overcoat, black dress
suit, and was carrying a dark briefease.
He is believed to have left the aircraft subsequent
to 8:05 p.m. MILNES urged anyone in the public having
knowledge of a parachutist landing on the route between
Aeriel, Washington, and Reno, Nevada, to notify the FBI
immediately.
MILNES released an artist's conception prepared
by the FBI to the press, saying that the photograph is an
excellent likeness of the hijacker's present appearance.
