NORJAK
On 4/4/72 I called SA_HENRY SHUTZ at the Bureau. f
advised him I had talked to | __ who told me that the
problem was when they got the authority originally it was
for only 7 days, but I told him we imposed no such Limitation
and the letter we wrote to the Army made no mention of a
time Limit?
I advised Mr. SHUTZ that[ ____! said in view of the
7-day limit, the 6th Army at San Francisco had to go to
CONARC, which is the Continental Army at Fort Monroe, Va.
to get this limitation removed.
I suggested to Mr. SHUTZ that he have his people
contact the Chief of Staff's office in the Pentagon and
advise them that they should contact the CONARC people
and tell them to get on the job.
