RE: PARACHUTE INFORMATION
SUB D
Re Portland letter to Seattle, 12/11/73.
Referenced communiction advised a parachute recovered
from the woods in the Gopher Canyon area north of Sheridan,
Oregon, was being transmitted separately by Greyhound Bus.
This parachute was displayed to EARL COSSEY on 12/17/73 and
at that time COSSEY stated it was not identical to the one
he supplied UNSUB. COSSEY further advised that this
parachute canopy was made of a twill material indicating that
it was manufactured approximately 1945. COSSEY advised that
the parachute UNSUB used was made of rip-stop material
which was not invented until after 1945.
