September 26, 1945, carried an article reflecting that the Fall .
.. semester of the Hollywood Branch of the People's Educational Center
opened on September 24, 1945, and that the emphasis of the teaching
program would be upon peace and postwar problems and new cultural
horizons. Particular publicity was given to the motion picture
industry which had brought before the students film personalities,
among whom was Danny Kaye. It is noted that the "Daily People’s
World" was a west coast daily communist publication and the People's
Educational Center has been designated by the Attorney General
pursuant to Executive Order 10450.
- "The Washington Post" of October 27, 1947, contained .
a statement of the Committee for the First Amendment (CFA) which =
protested "the continuing attempt of the House Committee on “
Un-American Activities to smear the motion picture industry."" Among
those signing this statement was Danny Kaye. The CFA has been cited
by the California Committee on Un-American Activities in its 1948
Report as follows: “A recently created Communist front in the defense
of Communists and Communist fellow travelers. Its immediate purpose

Bele news article concerning a "Stop Censorship" meeting which was to be held.
