Applicents for aprointuent to investigative positions must be between 25 end 35 years of e@gé. Upon their aprointment, Special Agents are given intensive training courses at Washington, where they ere required to mester oll pheses of their work.: Speciel agents in Charge of the field offices of the Buresu are in turn selected from those employees who heve proven themselves to be possessed of investigative, sdministre- tive, end executive ebility of the highest order.
