SSA McNeill assigned teams of Agents to cover four
banks in the southwest area. These banks were separated by
approximately 55-60 blocks.
The shooting inquiry team has in its possession a
transcript of FBI radio transmissions which were monitored and
tape recorded by a citizen who is a stringer for the "Miami
Herald" newspaper and who monitors via scanner law enforcement
channels in an effort to pick up a story. In ition, the
shooting inguiry team has in its possession a

It is apparant from the transcript of the FBI radio
broadcast that at some point during the surveillance, the
subjects became aware that they were being followed and then
began slowly driving on side streets with which they were
familiar. Exhibits in the body of this report depict the pursuit
and final stopping points of the vehicles involved in this
incident.
As the vehicles involved came south on Southwest 82nd
Avenue, a decision was made to stop them. SAs Grogan and Dove
activated their blue light and elrean ta affact

their Pine sight and siren to affect a "felony car
stop." Vehicle C (see attached overlays), which was occupied by _
SA Richard A. Manauzzi (MM-66), was coming up from the rear and
Vehicle A, occupied by SA John F. Hanlon, Jr. (MM-
ireles, pulled up alongside the subject car.
SAs Hanlon and Mireles
pparently SA Hanlon then swung his wheels back to the right to
impact against the subjects! vehicle and may have missed it and
struck the vehicle operated by SA Manauzzi. In any event, the
vehicle occupied by SAs Hanlon and Mireles lost control, ran over
a short post and came to rest against a wall. The subjects made
a U-turn heading northbound. SA Manauzzi made the turn with
