It is reported that this rally actually took place on Muy 16, 1946, its purpose being to combat anti-~Genitias, and all religions were invited to participate, The Agzerican Youth for Democracy was aaong the sponsoring groups. FBI confidential informent, reported that Sinatra, b who was then playing an engagement in a local Detroit, theater, perscaally appeared at the rally and was presented with a scroll] of appreai ation for his contribution to the Youth of America. This informant advised that Eraa Henderson, AYD President, acted as chairean of the rally and Joan Porter, another neaber of the 47D, apoke on behalf of Catholic Youth.
