When interviewed later, >) Gaptatn Weintrob furnished us with a copy of a@ communication ‘ “which he had addressed to the commanding general wherein paragraph ¢ reads as follows: ; \ ve "During. ‘the poychtatrtc interview the patient stated | that’ ‘Re waa .'neurotic, afraid to be in crowds, afraid to go in-eléevator, makes him feel that he would want ‘to run when surrounded by people. He had somatic -tdeas and headaches and has been very nervous for four or: five years. YWakens tired in the A.V., is run down . sand undernourished’. The eramining psychtatrist con~ -Gluded that this selectee suffered from psychoneurosis “and was not acceptable material from the psychiatric viewpoint. Inasmuch as the selectee was to be rejected on. an organic basis, namely, (1) Perforation of lef tympanum (2) Chronic mastoiditis, left, the dtagnosis ‘of psychoneurosis, severe was not added to the list.
