(Tesur, 62-76249-19) An informant has adutsed this Bureau that tn November, 1944, one a known connuntat, was requested to obtain pu ctty and atd for Diatrict Attorney Edaund Brown tn connection with Brown's tnuesttgation of the "Hothers, Wtves and Sisters of JSA,” allegedly an "“antt- administration" organization tn San Francisco. (62-76249-11,page &) A highly confidential source has aduised this Bureau that in December, 1944, an unknown man had been con- tacting prominent people in San Franctsco and informing thea that the Caltfornta Labor School was dominated by Co nists. In January, 1945, an informant made avatlable a list of names prepared at the California State Communtst Party headquarters at San Francisco.
