She was spontaneous, measured, and appeared sincere in expressing her fears while attenoting to reassure, Later in the tapes, her rhetoric becomes more that of the SLA and less that of PATRICIA HEARST. It is more stereotyped. It contains more of the radical jargon common to the SLA and similar grouns. In the last tape she sgunds like an: "automaton", probabiy reading a prepared script and speaking in a voice and tempo that does not et all appear to be comming originally from within PATRICIA HEARST. . moidvised that to reiterate his ovinion, -he feels A! wy v3 and including the point in time where she participated in the last tape, she is being motivated ovt of fear for her safety and would cease and desist from her participation in the tapes and whatever else she is doing with the SLA if she was, in fact, able to make her own choice. There is very little evidence to show brainwashing was successful in motivating her.
