The box of 9mm hollow-point cartridges recovered in
the victim's apartment were found to contain potassium cyanide
in the hollow points, held there by a thin layer of paraffin.
A number of the cartridges bore mechanism marks suggesting they
had been loaded and extracted from a weapon or weapons.
These -

markings are of possible value for comparison with any suspect ~
weapons recovered. Such cartridges can be chambered and fired
in semi-automatic and automatic weapons.

One of the nylon cords used to tie Benenson and one
of the cords found in the victim's apartment have loops lashed
with marline twine over which black plastic tape has been
wrapped. The nylon cords and marline twine are identical and one
end of the tape from the ‘Benenson cord was matched to one end
of the cord from the victim's apartment.
The other cords
recovered from Benenson and from the apartment are different;
however, these cords also have lashed loops which are taped
and one was found to have a stevedore knot tied at one end.
The lashed loops, the marline twine and the stevedore
knot suggest a background or association with the maritime trade
or industry.
