She predictably numbers among her associates in the
SLA, Indians, Chicanos, Chinese and Blacks to whom she bears
intellectual superiority and for whom she is the Ideological
leader and spokesman. Her group should include several
white “hangers-on,” who are as bright as she, and probably,
like her, from middle-class to upper-middle-class backgrounds.
The blacks predictably would be bright, but of "Street People"
background. Indian members should fit the model of the a
Indian liberation model, RUSSEL MEANS. She probably has a
sexual relationship to one or more of the non-white members;
and although she is clearly their superior, she would permit
herself to be dominated sexually by them in a Sado-Masochistic
relationship. She is heavily, over-identified with the
underdog. 2
Although she would consider herself clearly superior
to the "running dogs of the imperialist society,” she as
absolutely no personal respect for herself. She would
probably live in abject poverty or pseudo-poverty situation,
although not in a typical “pad." Her life style should
include a great weakness: a holdover in form of a sign
or signal of her past position of affluence, some vestige
of. the "good life." Examples, she might occasionally
splurge and visit an excellent restaurant; put on the dog
and havé a night on the town as a society gal; obtain
great pleasure out of being if only briefly in a fine, expensive
car. <
: She could not possibly stay away from witnessing
e first symbolic turnover of money and/or foodstuffs
to the people, per her demands. She would have a compulsion —
to personally see the success of her first destructive a
venture against the establishment. . '
She would also have some logical loose ties with © _
someone outside her organization in whom she has trust.
She may well think these ties are far more important than
