fo - a © 7 DE 7-1303 ; a Another quote runs to the effect: “I'm very upset." | l- 3... about the raid on the Oakland House, cool it." This expresses. . -* ° further the need to depict selves as the "good guys." But it _. also displays that they are really uptight about getting caught. PERRY predictably would have an intense fear at being caught, at having her decisions and options aborted. A third quote runs to the effect, "I'm with a combat . team and a medical team, don't try to get me. These are ou, _, * not nuts, but persons willing to die for convictions." "s “. Here she is obviously parroting what told to Bay. Probably, most of the team are terrified and not willing to die for their ideology. It is vastly important to them, however, to be taken seriously. They crave to demonstrate their power to deal with the highest level of authority possible. They need symbolic success. oe Would they kill the victim? Certainly, to save face and creditability of the organization, but only when clearly frustrated. Not a soughtafter goal. The victim is a weapon — only. PERRY could not and would not do so, but sadistic. associates would do her bidding. This predictably would not be a killing with gore, but by simple means. Clean and quick. The killing would be far less important than fact the act would demonstrate seriousness of intent, and a warning that ‘future demands must be taken seriously. , i}, II. Likely Locations for PERRY vee and/or Associates (1) Most likely location believed to be area of | North Oakland, California, which is comprised of a hard-core black district, south of MacArthur Blvd., west of College Avenue. The area blends into area of racial mixture and beginnings of ar€a residents are alleged to the university. (2) Second likely area is Martinez, where group of . type described could melt without notice. (3) Third area is east of the Berkley Hills in the Valley in area of Mount Diablo. Makeshift shacks exist about the area, and some type of old structure stands atop . ; same. This area, literally, “Devil's Mountain,” would have flatee romantic appeal to groups of this type, who show a deep ° strain of romanticism. ° - _ (4) Another possibility exists in the San Jose area... some 55 miles south. It is an old Spanish settlement, with a large Chicano segment of population. .
