ee ‘The Attorney, General . Be, oo, oo 23 as . ie ety NOTE: On 2-15-74 Attorney General Saxbe discussed with - Assistant to the Director Edward S. Miller the contents of a teletype the Attorney General had received from USA James L. Browning, Jr., of San Francisco. This teletype contained proposals of Browning regarding implementation of a "Task Force" to handle this case. The Attorney General -asked for Mr. Miller's opinion regarding these matters and “Mr. Miller informed him that upon quick review, Browning's proposals appeared completely unsatisfactory. Mr. Miller recommended that SAC Bates of the San Francisco Office discuss this matter with USA Browning and thereafter subntfit his (Bates') recommendations regarding the procedures proposed by Browning. The above sets forth the results of the conference between SAC Bates and USA Browning.
