They . both heard noises which sounded “like a burst
of firecrackers and did not really pay that much attention
to it. This .first noise sounded like three shots. About
thirty seconds later, there ‘was a sécond burst consisting ©
of approximately three shots at which time he immediately
- ran to the roof of the apartment building that he lives in
+ and looked down on Benvenue Street. He could hear shuffl-
" .ing of feet as though there was a scuffle taking place and
heard a car taking off-in-a north direction. He could not
see anybody as a tree which is in front of the apartment .- -
building was blocking his view. -
