Attorney James Browning of San Francisco (SF), requested that results of our investigation be furnished California Attorney General Younger. Attached advises that SAC, SF contacted Younger 3/15/74, and Younger knew nothing about this and had made no such request. Robert A. Houghton, Director of Law Enforcement, California Department of Justice, also stated he had made no request for results of our investigation and did not want our reports. SAC, SF proposed that U. S. Attorney Browning be informed that Younger and ‘Houghton have made no request for our reports and see no current need for such. Browning also to be told that if he receives future requests for results of our investigation they should be in writing and directed to SAC, SF with full justifica- tion and FBI will make determination. ai’ MM:cj31 rs Ot ANSTO OSE ‘a Sieg noes see, ced tatun a ise oe i . rer Sore Se, ye Leal ees
