—_ . CO SY e° & ) e FECERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION " 2/21/75 ; Date of tranvertption \ - Source provided the following information go concerning an associate of JACK SCOTT: fo ees: He advised that this person whose name is ty believed to be BOB FULLER, might be a very key person in JACK SCOTT's radical activities. ‘The source did not mention him earlier inasmuch as he could think only of persons who got things from SCOTT and FULLER was in a different category all together. FULLER was responsible for SCOTT gaining many things, so much oO as to appear Startling to the source. The source advised that FULLER was the president Of Oberlin College in Ohio during 1972 and 1973. He is = white male, 37 to 39 years of age, 5'12", 165 pounds, and he was responsible for radicalization of the entire Physical Education Department at Oberlin College. He was reponsible for getting JACK SCOTT the job of athletic director at the college even though SCOTT had very poor qualifications for the job and no employment record that was noteworthy. In fact, the source pointed out-that JACK SCOTT had never worked before. Furthermore, JACK SCOTT did not have a degree in Physical Education but in Educational Psychology. Instead ‘of starting at $10,000 a year which a normal degree holding person would have to start at he started at $16.00 in very plush offices and was given very much a free rein within the Department. The source feels that FULLER may have authorized t some funding of JACK SCOTT's trip to Cuba while he was at Oberlin College. FULLER brought PAUL HOCH to Oberlin College and placed him in the Physical Education Department. HOCH had a dezree in Theoretical Psydplogy, hardly an - ideal background for physical education. TOMMY SMITH, * a notorims black radical from track and field events, was also brought to Oberlin College, as a coach. FULLER appeared to cater to the newly radicalized Physical Education Department to the point where the trustees of the college and other faculty members became hostile toward him. As a result, FULLER was forcad to resign. , _.-___-Anothar fact which seens_etrange to-the-soures-was—— , interviewed on - : é. “ 2/17/75 __» Philadelphia, Pa. ftp #_ PH 24-1259 : 7 v R/vhs Bate dictsied : 2/24) 75 .
