Approximately one week later, MILLER again visited the SCOTT'S apartment. JACK SCOTT had still not returned at that time. During approximately the first week of September, 1974, SCOTT was in New Jersey and he called the SCOTT'S apartment in New York as he was planning on a visit with them. He was told by JACK that he and NICKI were packing and leaving immediately for the West Coast. During the last week of January or the first week of February, 1974, MILLER received a telephone call from SCOTT who indicated that he was in an airport in Los Angeles. SCOT stated that he was going to confer with Attorney CHARLES GARRY about BILL WALTON. During approximately the middle of February, 1975, MILLER received a newspaper clipping from SCOTT. © This clipping, which was postmarked California concerned BILL WALTON and SCOTT. MILLER has had no contact with SCOTT since that time, " sGOT! at no time ever mentioned the names of PATRICIA Tee , WILLIAM HARRIS or EMILY HARRIS... MILLER at no time had any idea that SCOTT was engaged in any illegal activity, or that SCOTT had at anytime attempted to recruit himself to be a’ party to any such activity. MILLER'S only knowledge regarding the alleged connection between SCOTT and Federal Fugitives - was what he had read in newspapers and seen on television. MILLER was of the opinion that SCOTT could become involved in this type matter for personal reasons, such as being the first and possibly only writer to have inside information regarding the HARRIS' and HEARST.
