(PC-K7761 PR) |
CARTRIDGES FROM PARK PRESTIDIO SPORTING GOODS STORE:
Q1107-01206 100 cartridges in two "Winchester" boxes
Q1207-0Q1256 50 cartridges from "Browning" box
Q1257-Q1376 120 cartridges in six "Norma" boxes
Result of examination:
The results of the requested latent fingerprint,
document and rope examinations are being reported separately.
Specimens Q1013 through 01038 are .38 Special caliber
cartridge cases. Specimens Q1013 through 01029 and Q1031 through
01037 were identified as having been fired in a single weapon.
The firing pin impressions present in the primers of the Q1030
and 01038 cartridge cases differ from those present in the other
cartridge cases. Therefore, the Q1030 and Q1038 cartridge cases
could not be associated with each other or the weapon represented
by the other cartridge cases. Specimens Q1013 through Q10638
appear to have been reloaded.
Specimens Q1039 through Q1045 are .30 Carbine caliber
cartridge cases. The primers of the Q1042, Q1043 and Q1045
cartridge cases have not been fired and bear no distinct firing
pin impressions. Microscopic markings present on these three
cartridge cases (Q1042, 01043 and Q1045) were identified as
having been produced by a4 single source. Although the specific
source cannot be determined, these markings could have been
produced by 4 reloading tool or the mechanism of a weapon.
Specimens Q1039 and Q1044 were identified as having been fired in
a single weapon. Due to a lack of corresponding microscopic
marks, no conclusion could be reached as to whether the Q1040
and Q1041 cartridge cases were fired in the same weapon.
Nothing was found to indicate that the Q1039 through
Q1045 cartridge cases were fired by or loaded into and extracted
