Five pair heavy duty boot socks, gray with red tops One pair navy blue sveatpants co , One navy blue watch cap The unknown male paid for the items with cash, but SHEPARD was unsure as to the exact denominations, The bill came to a total slightly over $30, . ot : Ss After the unknown male received his change the couple exited the store with SHEPARD following them. As soon as the male had followed the female out of the front door, SHEPARD | _&rabbed his right arm and requested that he return into the Store, At this point the male resisted SHEPARD and a scuffle ensued, with the unknown male and SHEPARD both falling to the Sidevialk, SHEPARD managed to clasp one handeuff of a pair of Peerless handcuffs around the unknown male's left wrist. - Then _ SHEPARD observed the unknown male reach for a revolver in the _ waistband of his pants. SHEPARD and BILI, HUETT, the owner of . the store, wrestled the’ gun away from.the untknown male, At this point SHEPARD heard what he thought were fire- crackers, and slass started flying everywhere, As the unknown male said, "You'd better let me go!", SHEPARD realized that he was being fired upon with an automatic weapon and he ran for cover behind a concrete street light pole. Two bullets hit the light pole while he was behind it. SHEPARD observed what appeared to him to be a white female sitting in the driver's seat, firing an automatic rifle out of the window. The Bun appeared to have a wooden stock and a long magazine protruding from the side of the receiver. SHEPARD thinks there were four blasts fired from the ‘driver of the van. He 1s quite certain that there were no other Dial vehictes parked on either side of the van during the shooting,
