wg te they held SUTTER captive, WILLIAM HARRIS spoke of the}
Symbionese Liberation Army's political philossphy. WILLIAMS
HARRIS aeknowledmed that the group could not defeat the
United States Government, but cleimed that due to their
activities their political philosophy was now being heerd,
He further advised that the Symbionese Liberation Army was
not bound to violent activity, but there would be no hesitancy
in using. violent teectices if it served their purpose. WILLIAM
HARRIS said they were fighting to survive and could not be
concerned with individuals such as SUTTER,
Shortly after WILLIAM HARRIS joined the group he
told SUTTER they would only keep his car for a couple of
hours, When they were through with it, they would call some-
one to come and release SUTTER, SUTTER, when asked for his
telephone numbers, volunterily provided both his home and
business numbers, thinking that someone would be at one of
these locations. As he spoke, female number two wrote the
numbers on a vackage of what appeared to be folded papers
approximately four inches by two inches and one half an inch

were approximately the size of paper currency.

that he would not fit. WILLIAM HARRIS, after considering the
rist of being observed while unlonding these items and aban-
Goning them alons side the road, decided to let SUITER lie down
on the floor of the back seat, (At this point SUTTER and the
interviewing Aments went to the 1973 Lincoln Continental where
SUTTER demonstrated the position he was forced to assume.)
SUPTER instructed each of the girls how to operate
the electric seats ond had them move both front bucket seats
in the full forverd position, He then laid on his stomach on
the floor and WILLTAM HARRIS covered him with the previously
descrivedad rose colored blanket, WILLIAM HARRIS, who was
sitting on the right side of the back seat, swung around and
put his feet on the seat,
Just before SUPTER moved to the floor he noticed that
WILLIAM HARRIS had a want ad seetion of a newspaper (possibly
