The letter was returned by the Post Office : undelivered, On May 29, 1974 ad his secretary ‘prepare a typewritten letter to ASHFORD which Sy sent ‘registered mail to 514 Winchester Drive, Daly City, requesting ' ASHFORD make arrangements to recover the car. The letter was returned by the Post Office on May 31, 1974 undelivered. advised that. he and his wife decided to ‘gell the property and on about April 17, 1974 started painting and refurbishing the property in vreparation for its sale. He stated in addition to his wife, his brother-in-law helped paint the property and they noticed that the small holes in the walls had been made by BSs being shot into the wall. In addition to this, they observed that a wooden beam at the end’ of a long hallway in the bedroom area had been shot full of BBs.
