The bottle and note were given by the child to a park maintanence man who in turn gave the items to Park Ranger The note is printed in capital letters in pencil on a white sheet of paper and reads as follows: “THAPPED ON A SHIP WITH. PATTY HEARST OFF MEXICO COAST JULY 25 HELP:” Q1866 One Dollar Federal Reserve Note, SN B51576531-C Immediately after August 14, 1974, \eesarmreccrmed Nelson, Nebraska, turned a one dollar Federal Reserve Note, N B51576531-C, 1969 Series D, over to Deputy Sheriff who furnished it to the Omaha Division. It had the following handwriting: Along the top side are the words "Call up 791-8063 and pledge something". Along the bottom side of the bill are the words “Please help PATRICIA HEARST." On each end of the bill are the words "Ask for DARRYL SHINE." GEE «2-250 this note at the ALCO store in Great Bend, Kansas on August ll, 1974, but did not discover the writing until August 14, 1974.
