State of Georgia has no prerequisite for thumb- print prior to individual obtaining a driver's license. The State of Georgia does utilize photographs of individuals applying for driver's license. These photographs are obtained upon application for driver's license and are generally issued from some 58 stations located geographically throughout the state. Photographing of applicants is done on microfilm with automatic processing of such negatives to the license furnished applicant.
