Appropriate sources at the Department of Economic Securfty, Frankfort, Kentucky, could locate no record of public assistance or record of earnings for eanyss, of: the these subjects, under their known SSANs.: o It was found on 10/10/74 at the Department for Human Resources, Frankfort, Kentucky, that the State of Kentucky, does not regulate or monitoriany, type of day labor employment offices. Also the state does not maintain a registry or list of such employers. A,list was obtained of employment agencies within’ the State of Kentucky of full and part-time employment agencies. Ey circular letter of 10/21/74, all such employment agencies, as obtained at Frankfort, Kentucky, were furnished with copies of wanted flier 475A. On 10/10/74, it was also found through the Depart- ment of Health, Frankfort, Kentucky, that the State of Kentucky does not maintain any abortion clinics per se, and the oniy medical institutions which conduct abortions are primarily hospitals throughout the state. It was aiso learned that any licensed physician in the state can perrorm an abortion in accordance with existing Kentucky statutes. A list of licensed health facilities and hospitals was obtained and on 10/21/74 each one known to furnish medical treatment or offer emergency facility care, was circularized with a copy of the wanted flier. During law enforcement conferences conducted tnr“ug’.- out the state by this office from 10/8-17/74, dealing with hostage and kidnaping type offences, the Hearnap case was discussed with those in attendance and fliers were made available to all of these law enforcement officers. On 10/24/74 fliers were furnished to supervisory personnel in the Daniel Boone National Forest, with main offices in Winchester, Kentucky, for distribution to the logical personnel at the various camping facilities of the Daniel Boone National Forest. i During the coming months this office contemplates co¥erage of leads in the following categories in connection with this matter. Security Chiefs at all higher institutiong of ‘learning within the state will be furnished with copies . ~» of the wanted flier. All major police departments at each RA territory, headquarters city and at all 16 of the Kentucky -3-
