Carbine Ml, (Modified To Fire Full Auto), Serial Number 1248504 ~ K82 -38 Special caliber Smith and Wesson revolver, Model 36, serial number obliterated ke ; Result of examination: The K62, K64, K67 and K80 test bullets, as well as test bullets, cartridge cases and plastic castings obtained from the submitted weapons were compared with the fired and unfired ammunition specimens previously submitted in this case and with all similar: specimens maintained in the National Unidentified Ammunition File. As a result of these comparisons, only one identification was effected. A .380 Auto caliber (9mm Short) cartridge case recovered from the floor of the station wagon (specimen 019, Laboratory report PC-K5273 PR JA, dated February 28, 1974) was identified as having been fired in the K70 Mauser pistol, Serial Number 0126377. ; Those weapons retaining serial numbers were searched . through the National Crime Information Center. No recore ; S2 the loss or theft of any of thease weapons was located. S There were no traces of cyanide found on the bullets Submitted with the K69 and K7l pistols or on the cartridges © submitted with the K70 pistol. It is noted that potassium and sodium cyanide are very soluble in water and could be washed away on exposure to excess water. os - ... For the purpose of | organigation and to facilitate reporting, the results of the “examination of weapons of the same caliber or gauge have beer grouped tagether.
