As a result of these comparisons, only one identification was effected. A .380 Auto caliber (9mm Short) cartridge case recovered from the floor of the station wagon (specimen 019, Laboratory report PC-K5273 PR JA, dated February 28, 1974) was identified as having been fired in the K70 Mauser pistol, Serial Number 0126377. ; Those weapons retaining serial numbers were searched . through the National Crime Information Center. No recore ; S2 the loss or theft of any of thease weapons was located. S There were no traces of cyanide found on the bullets Submitted with the K69 and K7l pistols or on the cartridges © submitted with the K70 pistol. It is noted that potassium and sodium cyanide are very soluble in water and could be washed away on exposure to excess water. os - ...
