JOHN -@6OTT, who is better known as JACK, born in Scranton,
Pas, on March 3, 1941 or 1942. In regards to his brother,
JACK SCOTT, WALTER SCOTT furnished the following information!
JACK SCOTT attended high school in Scranton, Pa.,
through the llth grade. As a high school sophomore, JACK.
SCOTT broke. regional records for the 100, 200, and 300 ,
meter track. JACK SCOTT, through tho theft of some athletic
equipment in high school, was barred from participating in
athletics in Scranton in his sanior year, He was not
_ prosecuted for this theft. WALTER SCOTT had takcn up regi-
dence in Syracuse, N.Y., and it was an apparent family
decision that JACK would go to live with his older brother _
in Syracuse so that JACK SCOTT could complete high school
in Syracuse, participate in sports, and accordingly, be
@ligible for a scholarship. JaCK SCOTT completed high
school in’ Syracuse and attended Villanova University entering
in the fall of 1960,. He had a freshman track scholership.
The track coach at the Universit of Pennaylvania, identified
as TUPPNEY (phonetic), was then at Villanova University and
knew WALTER SCOTT. JACK SCOTT femained at Villanova for
approximately two months indicating that a Catholic University
was too ovpressive and also that he had «a girl friond,
identified as DONNA LEWIS, Syracuse, N.Y., who wea a high
school friend of JACK SCOTT, and wanted to get married,
At the age of approximately 19 in'1961, JACK SCOTT
workss ss a laborer at Thule, Greenland, for about aiz
months. This employment was arranged by WALTER J, SCOTT
‘who wag working in Greenland himself, ,
‘After six months in Greenland, JACK SCOTT returned
té@ the Syracuse, N.Y., area where his parents wore residing,
exact addreas unknown, but believed to be on Walnut Street
and described as being about four bloolts from the main
entrance to the Syracuse University. WALTER SCOTT volunteered.
