Ana" Turkey? # S) oan rams
With no evidence whetever that Turkey's independence is threatched, we we voured aili-
tary aid in to bolster @ government as oonressive as the Greek one, which helped
Germany in the last world war. Ve build airfields for the biggest bombers made --
and Turkey has no such bombers. This threat goes on direotly beside Russia's _ ¢@
borders. . , .
And China? . Stag
Sven General kershall and. other government leaders who have visited China, admit that. :
Chiang-Kai-Shek's corrupt and disintegrating tyranny is not worth baoking, thet. oy
billions could be poured in to no avail. Yet we are now once again throwing more “
millions down the rat-hole that has swallowed over two billion dollars of our money
since the war -- to fight and oppress the Chinese people, to blook land reforms and
taxation of those who can pay.
And Palestine?
Our betrayal of our ovm word and the U. N., in backing down on our solemn pledge to
establish and protect a Jewish state in Palestine, is too shocking to need moh com
ment. Why did we do it? Because we value the friendship of Arab tyrants and the
oil in their countries more than Jewish lives and freedom, more than our solem
word, more than the continued existence of U. N.
And Trieste?
Brazen bribery -- breaking of our word again -- torpedoing the U. N. -- these are
the only vossible characterizations of our sudden announcement urging cancellation ~~
of the peace treaty with Tealy hich we Signeds. ° ‘Por “no. reason except the hope of
bringing Italian votees . .
And German rmany?
“Ie blocked Enrland’s program of socializing Ruhr coal mines, ‘e insist on keeping
German canitalists in control of an ever-expanding program of revived German heavy
industrv. We blook promised reparations from Germany to Russia. We drop the de-
nagification of German industry and ;overnment. We encourage reactionary German. par-
ties and leaders. ‘Ye are re-building a militarist center of reaction and war.
4nd the Atom Bomb?
We offered Russia and the rest of the world one program of intermtional control of
atomic reapons. 4t vas a vrogram that lef bombs, horb-making, and. a monovoly of
technical Imovledge in our hands for a long tine to come -- and mit absolute powers,
beyond veto, into a new U. N. body. hussia feared such absolute ro~wer, seeing the
Ge >. time after time line up majorities against her. Russia offered counter-
suggestions. 3ut we would acospt no compromise on our “lan, Better no interm-
tional agreement and contfol at all. Setter for us to go on raking bombs and

fear andthe danger is aoute. —
Let's stop argzing who's more at fault. What difference does it make, if we are
ell goine to be blasted in a oivilization-destroying wer?
We need an entirely new Government in ‘place of the present group of generals and
Wall Street bankers. “ie need nev leaders, a new President. Only Henry Wallace and
his supporters offer any hope for neace -- through direot negotiations to understand
the Russians and vork out some kind of agreements, through strengthening the U. WN.
and workins inside it, to settle disputes and give relief and rehabilitation to all
war-torn countries vithout any rolitical strings. Kussia and the rest of the world
know that Wallace is an experienced leader who has always worked for peace. They
will trust and work with him.
