SOBLE stated that he knew SOPHIE had been married bpfthe name ZALMOND FRANKLIN was unfamiliar to him. SOBLE maintains that SOPHIE requested to be released from work and also that he told “Professor (CHOUDENKO) about this. SOBLE claims Professor first told him that SOPHIE must continue to work but later allowed him to release her. SOBLE stated that SOPHIE gave only reason that work was making her nervous and she desired her release. SOBLE claimed he could not recall incident of introducing BOOKER to a. second man but 1t was possible. SOBLE denied that he could recall meeting with BOOKER and 2nd man in "Silver Palms" restaurant. SOBLE stated that if BOOKER said it was ROBERT he would have to agree but he denied he could recall any introduction. SOBLE could not logically explain who he turned LUCY BOOKER over to in Spring of 1945 when he was instructed by the Professor to transfer his contacts to ROBERT SOBLE. SOBLE also denied that he ever transferred SOPHIE to any other superior. SOBLE interviewed briefly after conference with his attorney.
