Chestertown newspaper published 7/28/37. Mrs. J. HORTON STLCOX, nee NANCY BRANHAM, who participated in 7/24/37 horse show at Higs O'Marlow, recalls TIMOTHY HOBSON with broken ieg and on crutches and at Kellogg-Smith Camp in 1937, and recalls HOBSON being visited by ALGER and PRISCILLA HISS. She had no idea as to duration of HISS stay at Chestertown at that time. H. NORMAN GRIZB, Chestertown, Md., . a defenses witness at first trial of ALGER HISS, stated in signed statement furnished to agents of Baltimore Office 9/1L/L9 that he served as a counselor at Rigs O'Marlow during 1937. GRIEB recalled TIMOTHY HOBSON as camper at Rigs O'tMarlow from middle of June to first part of Sept. 1937. HOBSON on crutches until about mid-summer 1937, according to GRIEB. Hs furthor recalled ALGER and PRISCILLA HISS arriving at Chester- town, Nd., soon after HOBSON's arrival and staying there for about one month. During the HISS stay at Chestertown, GRIEB recalled that ALGER stated in the presence of PRISCILIA, TIMOTHY, and GRIEB that he, ALGER, would not be around for a few days as he had to go to Washington, D.C., on business. GRIEB did not recall seeing HISS for the next couple of days, No commercial photographers in businass at Chester~ town during 1937. Dr. ROBERT Vf. FARR, physician who attended persons at Rigs O'Marlow in 1937, has no record of and does not recall TIMOTHY HOBSON.
