"when Elshoff first came to the mine I thought he was a fine man, but later on, prior to 1932, he seemed to change. He was not as friendly as he had been and did not seem to get along with the men. The men were dissatisfied. The exact reas j issatisfaction was not known to mé. . "On September 6, 1932 I joined the Progressive Miners of America, hereinafter referred to as Pia.
