He asked me to join the Ui, but I told hin that I was srtis- fied with the Progressives. I do not know who this man was. ®I wont back to work at Mine B the first day that it was rcoponed. I resumed my same job on top of the mine. I did not go down int» the mine. I did not hear about any large care_ins or falls, or fires that had sccurred at the mine while the strike was in propress. I did not see any fichts, or have anything done to me, but I did sce sone of the men after they had been beaten up, "I joinod up with tho USI on the lest day that I could join and not have to pay a new iniation fee. No one told me that there was any deadline, but I used to hear the men talking about it in the wash roon, and decided to join the UM7 in order to keep my job. I joined up shrotly before the sencond election. If jobs had been plentiful then as they are now I would not have signed up with the Di but would have changed and gotten another job, becnuse I preforred to stay with the Progressvie Mine ‘lorkers.
