I took no pert in the formation of PMA. "I was employed at Mine "B" in 1935 ss a company man and have been employed =t Mine "B" ever since, except during the time of a strike, "Between 1935 and lay 12, 1937 there were no strikes at Mine “B* and the management did not close Mine "B". During that period of time the mant.gement wns not hostile in settling grievinces end the manngement did not show any partiality toward UM. "I thought PMA wos a good union and one being operated for its members, No unusunl specit] assessments were mado agninst me. I took no in- terest in union activities and I heve not been cn official of any union. "I took no interest in the bombing cases and I do not know if the convicted PMA menbers got o fair trinl or not. - *Between 1935 end Mey 12, 1937 there were no UMN pickets at Mine id "BY end I did not see any UMV literature being distributed.
