When I went to work at Mine "B" J thousht almost ail the miners were
membersof UM. I heard that some of the miners were threatened and beat be-~
cause they did not want to join ..U U7, but I did not see them threatened
or beat.
"J took no “ntcrest in union activities and I ncover rorked in a minc
prior to the fsll of 1940.
"J did not vote in the N.L.R.B. clection in Feb. 1941 as J was sick
at the time and it made no differcne. to me whether I voted or not. My father
died about tvo weeks after I went to work at Mine "B", therefore, hc never
furnished me any information about thc union activity. After my father's
death I was employed at the mine after my father's death as a trapper. I
stoppcd working at Mine "B"’ in the Spring of 1742 as the conditions in the
mine were not. good for my health,
