The newspaper has inferred that Towers operated an international vice ring which involved United Nations (UN) officials in the U.S. who may have furnished security information to Towers' call girls. The newspaper has also attempted to link the two cases Ddecause it claims that Christine Keeler had associated with call girls involved in the Towers case. The newspaper also has indicated that Maria Novotny is the niece of the President of Czechoslovakia. Novotny has been interviewed and states she believes she is al ly distant relative of the Czechoslovakian President; she has fi no information that Towers is_ a Soviet agent.
