TEASOW FOR RESIGNATICN FROM PAROLE BOARD
Judge WILSON stated that at least one year prior to the effective
date of his resignation he had been endeavoring to resign his position on
the Federal Parole Foard, He pointed out that he had been in Governnent
service for more than tyventy years, that he was in poor health, and that he
desired to return to Mississippi to private life, where he would be in a
position to sive closer supervision to his farm and to live at a slower
pace. He pointed out tiat one of the reasons he had stayed on the Parole
Board as long as he did was tne fact that toward the and of his service
two or three members of the Parole Board had resigned, As a result, the
Attorney General had pointed out to him the netessity and desi rabils ty of

having one member on the Parole Board who was experienced in parole matters,
at least until the new members had had an opportunity to familiarize them-

Judge WILSON all of his life, and that he hes the utmost resvect for Judge
