Reference is made to the letter from the Chicago office to the Kansas City
office, dated 6=27053, wherein discussion is had of the telephone call from
Melrose 645, Maywood, Illinois, (the Os Pe Inn) to Fritz Mallory {evidently .
| identical with Frank Be Mulloy, known as Fritz Mulloy) under dete of 6-16935 at
5:55 P.Me Also reference is made to the letter from the Oklahoma City office,
dated 6-28-53, addressed to the Kansas City office, wherein it 1# ahown that
Mre. E. B. Coaner, telephone $2970, Hot Springs, A4rkaneas, phoned Melrose ~
645, Maywood, Illinois, at 8:50 P.Mse, asking for Louie Stacy, but talked to
Jimmies It is evident that some connection to this case may have existed be-
tween the telephone call by Mra. Conner te Melrose 645, Maywood, Illinois; fron
Melrose 645 to Mulloy at Kansas City; the party named *Jinmie* talking to |
‘Mre. Conner might possibly be identical with James (Pur) Semons, who is also
known as Jimmie, who was later arrested at the residence of Mulloy, at Kansas
City, as above noteds Since Samone is not known as a subject of this case, ;
howeverg at the present time his criminal record is being qioted at this point
in this report, same having been secured fran the United States Bureau of

During the general search on 7-7-35 by the officers fran the Sheriff's office at
Kansas City a search was made at the Horse Shoe Tavern, the address at which the
party who called from Chicago, Illinois, on 6-16-33, reached Mulloy (Jackson
9702), as outlined in the letter from the Chicago office, dated 6-27633, Ho
evidence of any nature ms found at the Horse Shoe Tavern, the place being
deserted and the attendant there, who did not state his name, was reticent, .

Frank B, Mulloy was questiomd at the Kansas City office by Special agents
Dwight Brantley. and Ly Ge Turrouy on 7-15-33, A statenent was secured during
the course of the interview and was set to writing, tut Mulloy refused to sign
the sam. The staterent is, however, quoted as follows:
