about four or five months ago, while on one of Mr. and Mrs. . Do Mason's visits to my club, he informed me that he was about =e —— to give up his apartment at the Weubern Hotel, Kansas City, oo. and inquired whether it would be all right if he end his wn wife and bis child would move into my house until they would find ~— a home. I told him that I had no objections, inasmuch as I had ample space at my house. Shortly after that, Mr. and Mre. Mason, 7 with the:r child, moved into my residence. During the period of his stay at my house, he would suddenly leave the city end stay «|. away for two or three days at a time, and on one occasion, I: ve renanber he stayed away for an entire week, He did notever my tell me the reason of hia absence, and I did not known wheres ae he would go. However, he told me on one occasion thet he was | rs going to Oklahoma on same business, and that he would be back =" ts During Mason's sojourn at my residence, I-recall, I had intro-. duced Mr. Mason to J. E. Kathrens, who operates a moving, and storage companyeat S854 Main Street, Kansas City, Missouri, and I understand that subsequently, Mason would meet Kathrens on frequent occasions, and from whet it seamed tome, they became , friendly. of, oe. Sometime in Avril, 1955, Mason and his family moved to 6612 Rdge- vale Road, at which address they had rented a.house. From then 0: on, I recall, we would visit each other quite frequently, and — we rather became chummy. Ts I used to visit his house with my wife, and I remember on one occasion, when I called at his house, I saw there one "Red Ward," with whom I have been slightly acquainted. - Coe sets I want to state that at no time did I see any other person pe we at Mason's home on the numerous occasions of my visite whieh ~~ 0 Joos.
