It ie observed that the laundress of Mrs. Earl Gnith, residing at 662s -
Edgevale Road, Kansas City, Missouri, is alleged to have seen some parties
loading an autombdile, preparatory to leaving the house at 6612 Bdgevale Road,
on the morning of June 21, 19335¢ Thie laundress is a ocgro waren by the name
of Louies Brown, who says she lives at 1115 Camiell Street, Kensas City,
Missouri, She was interviewed at the home of Mrs. Gnith on Wednesday rorning,
July 19, 1933, This womn is of low matelity and appeara to te very excitable.
She etated that she comes to Mrs. Smith's home each Wednesday moming to to the
laundry; that she was on her way there between 7 and & 4.Me, the Wodneadey
following the ahooting at the Union Stetion which would be June 21, 1933; that
as abe entered the premises of Mrs. Snith she saw an autamobile, headed out of |
the garage et 6612 Edgevale Road, which is across the street; that she ie
unable to recall the make of car, but it appeared to be large and that a man
and a woman were loading the car and the woman appesred to be loading bozag
packages and bundles into the automobile; that the man was assisting very .
little and what assistance was rendered by him was with one hand as it eppeared
that he was injured in the other or at leazt he was not using ite She ssid
that tae persons loading these thinge in the car dropped a package and there
was a crash which sounded like a bottle had broken; that she 41d act get a good
enough look at either the man ar woman to make any identification, She was
shom photographs of Verne Miller and wife, but could not identify sithers

Jemes Ward, a Kenase City gambler, residing at the Hotel President, an alleged
friend of Vernon C. Miller, was interviewed at the Brest office, July 21, 1933,
by Special agent in Charge Gue T. Jones and Special Agent Dwight Brantleye ;
Ward admits he is a gambler and that he plays a great deal of gold and is a
member of the Milbum Golf Club; thet aane time during the early spring er late
winter of 1933 be me playing golf at the OM Mission Golf Club in Kensae City

gares of golf witb him on as many deys; that he told White that he, Ward, was
a sember of the Milburn Golf Club; that White informed Fim that he bad played
at the Milburn course lest year and liked 1t very mechs Ward sald that he
thereafter invited Mhite over to Milburn ané played with him at that course
several tims; that White desired to become a mamber af the Milburn Club end
