The following investigation was conducted by Special Agente
E,. E. Anderson and Re B.-Nathen at Hot Springs, Little Rock, Benton
and Fort Smith, Arxansas.

informtion is to the effect that Galetas has been in St. Louis as
recently as several weeks after the massacre, and advised that ha could
probably be located at or through the Jefferson Hotel, St. Louis. He
stated that he might not be staying at the Jefferson, but would un-
doubtedly frequent thet place, as well as the establishment of kr, Carney.

At the office of the Western Union Telegraph Company, Mr. Milton
Nobles, Kanager, wes interviewed, and was requested to search hia records
for money transfers to Nash under his imown aliases. He advised that a
transfer wae received May 16, 1933, for $500.00, the message, which
originated at Kansas City, Missouri, Pl Branch Office (probably Plaze .
Office), being as follows:
"Invite to G. wanr0r Arkansas National Bank credit ~
account ViyPage.®
*Invite” is a code word evidently directing the payment of $500.00.
Kr. Nobles advised that inquiry at the Arkansas National Bank disclosed
that neither Miller nor Page was imown, and his office accordingly wired
to Kansas City for further instructions, receiving advice that the sender
refused to give any eddreas, and to hold for the payee. His records
ebhow that payment was made to Miller at the Eot Springs office, apparently
on hay 16th, the company cashing ite draft on identification which con-
sisted “of a card of Masonic Lodge 1127 of Tllinola.
Mr. Noblee further advised that hia records show thet an order
was received at Hot Springs on June 17, 1933, at 8:39 A.M. to transfer
$75.00 to Janes E.ABrady, 1515 Wilson Avenue, Chicago. The transfer
was from kre. Sam E. Brady, Woodcock Apts., Hot Springs, and the instruc-
