From the confidential iaformant previously snentioned in memos by

one occasion, but her mother did not approve and she discontinued seeing

Spring, but advised that she would not return since A.J. was not welcome.
It was ascertained that Ae J. Conner claims to be the nephew ot
Governor Conner of Mississippi, which confirms previous reporte, and
further thet he is supposed to be a graduate of a college at Oxford, .
Mississippi (evidently the University of Mississippi). About a year ago

' Company it was ascertained that he had located a telegram sent May 28,
1933 by Mrs. Conner to Myrtle Kanley, 2510 Ross Avenue, Dallas, Texas,

tion indicated thet Mrs. Conner’s niece, May Hanley, is probably in Dellas.
Ky. Nobles aleo exhibited a telegram dated lay 27, 1922, addreased to Mise
Vera Hinkle, Arcade Gift Shop, Arlington Hotel, aent from Hot Springa,
and signed “A.J/® which conteins a birthday greeting. This girl hae been
interviewed and evidently did not disclose the extent of her acquaintance
with the Conners. It ie suggested that her mail be covered.
With reference to the telephone calle to the Home of Galetas

Rock, 1t was ascerteined that this telephone ia a pay station located in
Steincamp's Cafa, located at 1114 West 7th Street, Little Rock. It was
