Dial of Thayer, Missouri, then known to be im Kansae City. fhrough surveillance of the Post Office General Delivery window Mrs, Dial was located and it waa found that she was residing et the Holland House, ao middle class hotel at Kanes City, with a man named Gerald Diale Mree Bial and her husband were held by the police im technical custody for a brief period during uhieh time thorough investigation was made by Agente Brantley and Purrou and it was determined that no connection on their part to the instant matter exiated, therefore, they were released, The details ef their questioning being immaterial in this cese they are omitted. With reference to the letter from tha Bureau, dated 7-31-55, with enclosure shich wae a letter from one George Dixon, a prisomer at the Ue Be Penitentiary, Leavenworth, Kensaa, addressed to the attorney General of the United States, offering asaistance in the instent matter, sgente Brantley and Turron interviewed Dizon, on GeS-$5- Dixon is originally fram Texas and has been in Louisiana and Oklahoma; prior to his imprisonment he operated a filling station on highway #71 near Conway, arkansas, about twenty-five miles frau Little Rook, Arkansas, the name of which was Cottage City Campy, according to hia statement, He seid he was selling liquor at one tim there and got to know many of the criminals, among them “Pretty Boy* Floyd whom he sew as maby a8 a Gozen times, although he does not -elaim to be an intimate friend of Floyd, Dizon stated that he has read that the Government is looking for Floyd anc thet with hia accuaintance in Arkansas, where he knows Floyd frequents, he can, within a very short time, either apprehend or cause the apprehension of Floyds He stated that be ie interested in the rewards outstanding for the apprehension of Floyds He does not, he saya, request the Government to edvance him any Boney, but thet he does believe the Government ashculd shorten his atsy at the pacitentiary and permit him to go to drkanaas to render service by causing Floyd*’s apprehension. He would be willing, he said, to heve an officer accompany him on this mission, He stated thet unlese bia sentence is shortened he does not think he would give the matter further considerations - Diwn was told by Agente Brantley and Turron that his state~ ment would be tranei tted to the proper authorities, The agents, who interviewed this prisoner, wre not favorably impressed with bie sinceritysa Dixon has served @ prericus sentence in the State Penitentiary of Texas for robberyes Reference ia made to page 17, paragraph 3S of the report of égent Trainor, dated 7eZle35_ On 6-10-33, Subject Mulicy was interviewd at the Kensas Gity Bureau office by agente Brantley and Turrous. Ee was specifically questioned as to whether or not he ie eacqueinted with Louie (Doc) Stace and still vehementiy denied in quite loud tones thet he bas ever known Stacci or that he hes ever seen him or been in ecommnication with him, to his kmowledgee He haa a differcnt version of the telephone call received on 6-16-35 at telephone Jackeor 97(
