The telephone number at Kansas City, Missouri, listed in the name of V, C. Moore was Jackson 7073. This residence was found to have been lessed about two months previous to the time of . the tragedy by one ¥V. C, Moore, and to have been occupied by hin, his wife and amall child. It was reported that automobiles bearing Minnesota, Illinois and other state licenses were frequent callers at this house. It was reported that Moore and his family did not associate with any of the neighbors and were extremely reluctant to have their residence entered, even for the purpose of making ordinary repairs or to receive toe calls of tradesmen. It was further found thet Moore and his family had left this residence shortly after the metsacre at the Union Station in Kansas City. Arrangements were made by Special Agents of the Bureau of Investigation to enter this house. All articles therein were thoroughly examined and latent prints developed from certain articles found therein proved conclusively that the V. C. Moore who had leased this place for a period of one year wae none other than Vernon C, Miller, There were indications that this house had recently been occupied by a pergon who bad been either ill or wounded. Upon request of the Kansas City Police for information ecncerning the developmentsof the investigation made in this case by Special Agents of the Bureau of Investigation, the telephonic evidence referred to in the foregoing, as well as the identity of Miller, established by the latent prints, was furnished then. Every effort has been made to locate Miller and it is reported that he has been located at or in the vicinity of Louisville, Kentucky.
